midnight from the upstairs window

from the upstairs window,

she watched the snow slowly falling

softly to the ground below.

 her eyes gazed;

hypnotized by the dancing of each flake.

from the midnight glass,  she awoke.

her radiance lit up the silence of a darkened room.

somewhere on the Eagle Bay shores,

she still was soaking in the sun

on the warming white sands.

but through the upstairs frosted window,

the streetlamp’s glow

    peeked through her dreaming eyes.

and from the upstairs window,

she watched the snow slowly falling

softly to the ground below.
