a favoured waltz

in the upstairs window,

the waltz glided across the floor.

in the candlelight flickering,

someone sets themselves free.

the scab of what had been torn off

and the memories just bled out

locked inside of a prison of self reflection,

in the upstairs window,

the favoured waltz glides across the floor.
