the truth about my love for her

if i had loved her,  known her only for a moment –

held her,  adored her just for a point in time,

then life after her ceases to exist.

she completed me and all that dwelled within.

so if i was to never love again,  that would be fair –

all just; because there wouldn’t be anyone else

that would come close to her and how she captivated me.

if!, the truth about my love for her still lives deep within the reality of a dream,

where hope keeps the desire alive –

tell me where the seams of a heart tore,

and the fled feelings slowly bled!

the dreams at night get almost too real

causing the wounded heart to ooze it’s memory back into a numb body.

and there, she pervades throughout the thoughts,

haunts the emptiness in my loneliness.

but if i was to never love again,  that would be fair –

all just; because there wouldn’t be anyone else

that would come close to her and how she captivated me.
