good bye to yesterday

good bye to a past

in which we once lived

a once upon a time in a dream or in our hands,

we were.  we were

oh, good bye to yesterday

*

when the thought of you stops by for a while

i’ll just smile and be grateful for what we had

the times where we needed each other

and you carried me through where i couldn’t even stand

how can i forget,  the love that we once shared

*

sitting on a new horizon

a place where the clouded anger clears

and where a refreshing rain

fills a desert thirsty forest

oh,  a happiness sits on a new horizon

*

there’s a world that awaits my discovery

and today we find not the end,  but  just the beginning for everything else!

there’s a world out there for your discovery

and i wish you luck on your journey

follow the sun to where the moon sleeps –

*

good bye to a past

in which we once lived

a once upon a time in a dream or in our hands,

we were.  we were

oh, good bye to yesterday

  1. Brad, I loved this piece…which resonates with me, I have been saying goodbye to the past in my books of poetry and have completed my last (for awhile) and now I am working on “my” story which is really a method for leaving the past behind. I enjoy your work, keep creating. ajm
