for something she deserves

she lives inside these words

all that has been read,  and all that hasn’t been written

she is in all that i dream and all that i live for

though she lives as a part of me

she’s mostly just a dream,  reality only if for a while

our  self  being cloaked behind the closed curtains

as she seeks me for love,  one that can treat her for something she deserves

she has an empty bruised heart that dwells and lingers

longing to search for the warmth of the desire and needed attention

a fire that once sparked now lies in ashes

and i,  she found,  and her,  i found

together we’re reborn into an endless bounds

and compromise doesn’t show its face anywhere in the field

her knock softly sounds,  mostly late at night when no one is watching

i answer with a rushed step and there eagerly my arms reach out  –

to the welcome embrace that is warm and longed.

we listen attentively to each others conversations

and to the candlelight that burns brightly,

the shadows on the wall dance till they sweep away into sleep

tucked away in each others arms

morning is coming and i wipe my eyes awake

she’s already up,  siting gracefully at the vanity in her long silk nightgown.

as she gently brushes her curly hair smooth,

she looks back at me and gives me a little crooked smile –

and in her soft loving voice tells me good morning

she lives inside these words

all that has been read, and all that hasn’t been written

she is in all that i dream and all that i live for

though she lives as a part of me

she’s mostly just a dream,  reality only if for a while

she is the garden for which i seek and desire

the answers come to me there and the perfect calmness lays waiting

oh! come and be

the day is long and is awaiting for the new

you seek and i sought,  we are found – in happiness we are

oh! come and be,

come and be with me  and all the day and nights shared

one that can treat her for something she deserves

one that can treat her for something she deserves

and i will die one day with her name on my tongue
