lady unknown

lady unknown

eyes of a beautiful haunting

etched inside the mind and memory

lady unknown comes and goes

but stays put during the day

she holds a key

to a door that you swore that was forgotten

it’s late at night

but something had to be said,

lady of  unknown paradise

she sweeps away the darkness

as she draws back the darkened curtains

yet,  as the sun shines,  the pain slowly eases

for the past becomes just that,  and a new day dawns

for all for whom something and someone is all  faded out about now

lady unknown

eyes of a beautiful haunting

etched inside the newly awoke mind and memory

lady unknown comes and goes – sometimes

but stays put during the day

she holds a key

to a door that you swore that was forgotten
